Former beauty queen and actress Lara Quigaman has opened up about a recent health scare, revealing that she was rushed to the hospital late last year after experiencing severe chest pain.
In a heartfelt social media post shared during Heart Month, Quigaman recalled how her husband, Marco, had to call emergency services last November when the pain became unbearable—something she described as unlike anything she had ever felt before. She was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance and has since undergone a series of medical tests to determine the cause.
According to Quigaman, doctors were able to rule out a cardiac-related condition but still advised further examinations to ensure her heart is functioning properly. Just recently, she spent more than four hours at the hospital undergoing additional tests to check for possible blockages.
Despite the anxiety that comes with waiting for results—especially when experiencing chest discomfort or shortness of breath—the actress said the experience has also given her time to pause, reflect, and pray.
“God is teaching me to trust and be still before Him and to give Him my heart—literally,” Quigaman shared.
Now based in British Columbia, the actress used her post not only to update supporters on her condition but also to offer encouragement to others who may be facing similar health fears. She reminded her followers to hold on to faith during moments of uncertainty, emphasizing that God remains faithful and in control.
